Albert Fry was the sixth child of John Fry & Mary Ann Newbery born Oct-December 1873 at Brighton, Sussex & christened February 15th, 1874 at St Peter’s, Brighton, Sussex.
Albert was living at home in 1881 at Hope Cottage, Horsted Keynes, Sussex.
By 1891 Albert’s father was a baker & Albert was a baker’s assistant & he was the only child at home. They were still at Hope Cottage.
Albert married Lydia Oliver on December 26th 1896 at St Jude’s, Kensal Green, Chelsea. Witnesses at the wedding were Henry Fisher & Bessie Oliver. Lydia was born July-September 1870 in Broadmayne Dorset, the daughter of Ann & James Oliver, a general labourer.
Albert & Lydia were living at 129 Dorset Rd, Lambeth in 1901 & Albert was now a master baker. They now had a 3 year old son, Walter & living with them was Lydia’s sister Hannah Oliver, an assistant baker.
In 1911 Albert & Lydia were living at 129 Dorset Rd, Clapham Rd, Kennington, S.W. & he was still a baker. With them were son Walter Eric & 1 year old daughter Lydia Mary Ann. Also with them was niece Winifred Eliza Hurren (9), the daughter of Albert’s sister Eliza Alice Hurren (nee fry).
Daughter Lydia married Charles William Groves, a market gardener, in Oct-December 1935.
.Albert died September 8th, 1938 at Montacute, East Rd, Bridport, Dorset. Probate was granted to widow Lydia & his effects were £991.8s.11d.

Lydia of Montacute, East Rd, Bridport, Dorset died, aged 80, on March 12th, 1951 at Elwell Lodge, Netherbury, Dorset. Administration of her estate was granted to son Walter Eric, an electrical engineer & daughter Lydia Mary Ann Groves. Her effects were £1,182.18s.11d.
