Henry Charles Grove was the twin of Harriett Annie Grove the first children of Henry William Grove & Mary Ann Mays. They were christened November 6th, 1853 at St James, Croydon Common, Surrey.
In 1861 Henry was at home with his parents at North End, Croydon.
In 1871 there was a record of a Henry Groves (20, born Croydon) lodging in the home of widow Charlotte Lilley, a tobacconist, in the Hight St, Croydon. He was a blacksmith.
Henry Charles went out to Australia to join his parents & siblings who had emigrated there in 1874.
Henry Charles died, aged 52, on March 31st, 1906, his death being registered in Waterloo, a suburb of Sydney where his mother died in 1911. Henry was buried on April 2nd, 1906 in the Presbyterian section of the Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park Cemetery in Sydney.
