Jennie Stainsby was the eighth child of William Stainsby & Jane Stephenson born December 21st, 1891 at 67 Newport Rd, Middlesbrough & christened January 20th 1892 at Linthorpe.
In 1901 Jennie was still at home at 3 Leechmere Rd, Ryhope.
Jennie continued to live at home, now 17 Leechmere Rd at the time of the 1911 census. She & her brother Jack (John Henry) were the only children still at home.
Jennie married William Wright on June 1st, 1915 at St Aidan’s, Grangetown. William was living at 25 Stockton Terr, Grangetown at the time of the wedding & was a joiner. Jennie was living at 30 Leechmere Rd. Witnesses at the wedding were Alfred John Wright & Annie Gertrude Stormont. William was born in 1888 at Ryhope, Co Durham, the son of Mary A & William Wright, a foreman paper maker.
Jennie’s brother George William Stainsby was the curate who baptized their son Edwin in 1919.
Jennie died in April-June 1933 at West Ham, Essex.
The 1939 register shows widowed William living at 28 Roy Gardens, Ilford, Essex & described as a builder’s joiner. With him was son Edwin, a clerk, & daughter Olive.
