Thomas Wall was the third child of Henry Edward Wall & Emma Rosanna Kettle born November 19th, 1880 at Derby.
At the time of the 1881 census 8 month old Thomas & his parents were living at 3 Whitaker St, Litchurch, Derbyshire along with his brother Henry & sister Mabel.
By 1891 the family, now grown to include 7 children, had moved back to West Bromwich & were living at 9 Paradise St. Thomas, now 10, was a scholar.
Thomas was still living at home with his parents & 6 brothers & sisters in 1901 at 9 Paradise St & he was then working as a carpenter.
Thomas married Elizabeth Kettle in July-September 1905 at West Bromwich Register Office. Elizabeth was born January 28th, 1882 in Cakemore, Worcestershire, the daughter of Sarah Jane Holloway & Joseph Kettle, a brick maker. In 1901 Elizabeth was working as an assistant in a hotel restaurant in Birmingham. Elizabeth’s father Joseph was the older brother of Thomas Wall’s mother, Emma Rosanna Kettle, so Thomas married his cousin.

In 1911 Thomas & Elizabeth were living at 1 Cakemore Rd, Black Heath, Stourbridge, Worcs & Thomas was a coach builder of railway coaches & motors. They had a 19 month old daughter, Margaret, & a 5 month old son, Thomas Joseph Edward. Living with them was Elizabeth’s widowed mother Sarah Kettle (68).
Daughter Margaret married John Ellis, a motor lorry driver, in 1936 in Oldbury.
The 1939 register shows Thomas & Elizabeth living at 16 Cakemore Rd, Oldbury & Thomas was described as a motor body maker & Elizabeth was an office cleaner. With them was daughter Edna, a capstan operator. The following year Edna married John A Edwards.
