Mary Barnett was the third child of Thomas
Barnett and Sarah Williams born in Remenham, Berkshire and christened
on February 23rd, 1784.
In 1841 Mary was living with her sister Sarah at Aston, Remenham. They were both described as independent.
At the time of the 1851 census, Mary was still living at Aston Lane. She was 67 years old, unmarried & listed as a bond holder. Living with her was her sister Sarah (69) who was listed as deaf and dumb.
In the 1861 census, Mary was living at “Aston Hall”, Aston Lane, Remenham.
At the time of the 1871 census, Mary was living in New Street, Henley, as
a lodger. Her age was given as 85.
M ary died on January 23rd, 1872 at New Street, Henley, aged 88 and was buried
at Remenham on January 27th, 1872.
