Kathleen Barnett [b.2.9.4.5]
Kathleen Barnett was the fifth child of Arthur George Barnett and Kate Webster, born in Dunsden, Oxon on April 2nd, 1884.
At the time of the 1891 census, Kathleen was listed
with her parents at Hampstead Farm, Eye and Dunsden, Oxon.
She was still living with her parents in 1901 at Priest Hill, Caversham, Oxon.
In 1911 Kathleen was employed as a domestic nurse in the household of Jane & Charles Adams, a stock jobber. The family lived at Quedgley, West Grove, Hersham, Chertsey, Surrey
Kathleen married Albert Osman on September 5th, 1911at St Paul’s Church, Clapham, Surrey. Albert was a builder of 160 Elmhurst Mansions, Clapham & Kathleen gave her parent’s address at 33 Prospect St, Caversham. Witnesses at the wedding were Kate Barnett (Kathleen’s mother), Arthur R Barnett (her brother), Charles Osman & Alfred Bayley (Kathleen’s uncle). Albert was born May 25th, 1877 at Bow, Middlesex, the son of Mary A & Charles Osman, a builder.

Daughter Jean married John H Cobb in Oct-December 1938 at Hampstead, Middlesex.
The 1939 register shows Kathleen & Albert living at Ingleside, Cedar Rd, Esher, Surrey. Albert was a master builder & as well as domestic duties, Kathleen was a member of the ARP Red Cross.
Son Dennis was living at Chelwood, Bloomfield Grove, Bath at the time of the 1939 register & was a civil & structural engineer working for the Admiralty.
Kathleen, of Ingleside, Cedar Road, Cobham, Surrey, died on March 10th, 1950 at the Royal County Hospital, Guildford, Surrey. Administration was granted in London on April 26th, 1950 to husband Albert, a builder & Kathleen’s effects were £1,052.0s.3d.
Albert died at Leigh Corner, Leigh Hill, Cobham on April 17th, 1966. Probate was granted in London on September 5th, 1966 to son Dennis Osman, a quantity surveyor, & Hilda Mary Crown, spinster. Albert left £52,507.
