George Henry Freeth [fh.]

George Henry Freeth was the third child of George Henry Freeth & Margaret Riley born April-June 1875 at Warrington, Lancs.

In 1881 George was living with his widowed father & brothers & sister at 253 Warwick Road, Warrington.

George was still living at home in 1891 with his father & step mother Martha, & brothers & sisters at 27 Oxford Lane, Warrington. George was a labourer.

George married Ada Wilcock in July-September 1900 at Warrington. Ada was born October 3rd, 1877 at Warrington.

In 1901 George & Ada were living at 5 Robson St, Warrington & George was a stationary engine driver.

George & Ada were still in Warrington in 1911, now at 224 Manchester Rd.  George was a stationary engineman at the wire works.  They had an 8 year old daughter Ada & a 2 year old son Harold.

George died in April-June 1921, aged 46, at Warrington, Lancs.

Widowed Ada remarried in 1926 at Warrington.  Her second husband was Thomas Walsh.

The 1939 register shows Ada & Thomas living at 240 Manchester Rd, Warrington & Thomas was a retired postman.  Daughter Ada Freeth was living with them & she was an elementary school teacher.

Son Harold had married Constance M Cahill in 1935 & the 1939 register shows them living at 26 Bruche Drive, Warrington.  Harold was described as a poster sign show card ticket writer.

Ada died on August 29th, 1966 at 243 Manchester Rd, Warrington.  Probate of her estate was granted to Francis Halliwell, sales representative, & her effects were £516.
