Adah married William Hackett in Oct-December 1886 at St Matthew, Smethwick. William was born June 21st, 1866 at Smethwick, Staffs, the son of Susannah & Thomas Hackett, a general labourer.
In 1891 Adah & William were living at 147 Price St, Smethwick with their 1 year old daughter Winifred A. William’s occupation was not given.
By 1901 Adah & William & daughter Winifred had moved to 178 Rylance St, Ardwick, South Manchester, Lancs. William was described as a ‘mechanic (bolt & nut)’!
Adah & William were living at 32 Clitheroe Rd, Slade Lane, Manchester in 1911 & William was described as an engineer in the bolt & nut trade. Their daughter Winifred was a music teacher who worked from home.
Daughter Winifred married George Archibald Pullom in Oct-December 1916 at Chorlton, Lancs.
The 1939 register shows Adah & William living at 13 Ernest Rd, Smethwick & William was a retired works manager for Compton cycles. Daughter Winifred & husband George were living at 11 Westbourne Rd, Halesowen in 1939 & George was an aluminium rolling mill operator.
William (of 13 Ernest Rd, Smethwick) died on January 12th, 1940 at St Chads Hospital, Birmingham. Administration of his will was granted on May 2nd, 1940 to daughter Winifred Adah Freeth Pullam. His effects were £12.10s.
Widowed Adah died later the same year, on December 14th, 1940 at Cutsdean, Carters Lane, Lapal, Halesowen, Worcs. Administration of her will was granted in Birmingham on January 13th, 1941 to daughter Winifred Adah Freeth Pullam. Her effects amounted to £387.12s.8d.
