Samuel married Frances Grigg on November 18th, 1796 at St Johns church, Halesowen, Worcs. Frances was the daughter of Josiah & Sarah Grigg, christened (Fanny) December 10th, 1779 at Rowley Regis, Staffs.
By 1841 Samuel & Frances (Fanney in census) were living at Oldbury Rd, Harborne, Smethwick. Samuel’s occupation was a nailer.
At the time of the 1851 census Samuel (75) & Frances (74) were still living at Oldbury Rd, & Samuel was described as a pauper & nailer.
Samuel died May 25th, 1851 at Oldbury Rd, & was buried June 1st at Holy Trinity Church, Smethwick.
Frances died January 14th, 1857 at Oldbury Rd, & was buried January 17th at Holy Trinity Church, Smethwick.
