Mary Jane Lister was the daughter of John Lister & Mary christened February 22nd, 1867 at Eston, Yorks.
In 1871 she was living with her parents & family at Claylane Cottages, Eston.
In 1881 Mary (14) was working as a domestic servant at the home of her brother
Benjamin & his wife, Ellen (Helen in census) & their 2 children at
112 Portrack Lane, Stockton. Benjamin was a licensed victualler, & also
living with them was Robert, Mary’s brother (22), a stone mason.
