In Jan-March 1908 Frances married Robert Fawcus Gray at Chester-le-Street. Robert was born August 15th, 1875 at Washington Station, Co Durham, the son of Jane Fawcus & Samuel Gray, a farmer & grocer.
In 1911 Frances & Robert were living at Stonecroft, Washington Village, Co Durham & Robert was a grocer & hay dealer.
Frances’ widowed sister Jane Ann Kell died at Stonecroft, the home of Frances & Robert, on August 6th, 1932.
Frances died soon after her sister on November 26th, 1932 at Stonecroft, Washington Village. Administration of her estate was granted to widowed Robert, a motor driver, on March 17th, 1933. Her effects were £134.8s.
The 1939 register shows widowed Robert living alone at Stonecroft, Washington. He was now retired.
Robert, of Stonecroft, Washington, died September 1st, 1946 at The Hospital of St John of God, Scorton, Yorks. Probate was granted on January 30th, 1947 to neice Dorothy Fawcus McKenna, spinster, & William Tudor Sayce Thorp, solicitor. His effects were £1,563.7s.5d.
