Ann Pallister was the ninth child of Robert Pallister & Mary Anne Cook born Jan-March 1871 at Perkinsville, & christened March 26th 1871 at Gateshead, Co Durham.
Ann was living at South Row, Ouston, Co Durham in 1881 with her parents & 2 sisters & a brother.
By 1891 Ann’s father had died & she was living with her widowed mother, brother James, & sisters Nellie (Mary Ellen) & Maggie. Ann was working as a dressmaker.
Ann married William Watson Rowell in July-September 1897 at Chester-le-Street, Co Durham. William was born Oct-December 1871 at Gateshead & christened March 12th 1877 at Gateshead, Co Durham, the son of Ellen & William Watson Rowell, a brass founder.
In 1901 Ann (Annie) & William were living at C Street East, Perkinsville, Pelton, Co Durham where William was a coal miner hewer. They had a 2 year old daughter, Linda M.
By 1911 they had moved to 77 D Street West, Perkinsville & William was now a mine examiner below ground. Daughter Linda Mary was still at home.
William died on June 12th, 1927 at 38 South St, Spennymoor, Co Durham. Administration of his estate was granted on August 13th, 1927 to daughter Linda Mary, spinster. His effects were £318.2s.10d.
Daughter Linda married John T Lowery, an electric meter reader, in 1928.
