Harriett Anna Winder was the third child of William Winder & Mary Austin born March 30th, 1830 & christened April 18th, 1830 at St James, Clerkenwell, Middx.
In 1841 Harriett was living at Walton St, Aylesbury, Bucks with her mother & sisters Mary Ann (9) & Charlotte (5) & brother William (16). Mother Mary was described as independent & her father, William, had died just prior to the census.
In 1861 Harriett was visiting her sister Elizabeth, married to William Webster, at Dorney Wood Farm & their family.
In 1871 Harriett was unmarried & a house keeper for the Cross family of Barge Farm, Taplow. Head of the family was George Robert Cross, a farmer of 498 acres. George was the father of Mary Ann Cross who married Richard Webster, brother of William Webster mentioned above.
Harriett died on November 24th, 1871 aged 42, at Barge Farm & was buried on November 28th, 1871 at Burnham. Her will was proved on January 17th, 1872 by her brother-in-law William Webster, farmer of Dorney Wood Farm & her effects were under £300.
