Ann Lister was the ninth child of William Lister & Elisabeth Metcalf christened July 15th, 1761 at Welbury, N. Yorkshire.
Ann gave birth to an illegitimate son, William Lister, in 1790 who was christened February 14th at Welbury.
Ann married Joseph Blackett on August 12th, 1792 at Welbury by licence. Witnesses at the wedding were Isaac Smith & John Blackett.
After living at some time in Welbury, Joseph & Ann moved to Northallerton where their 4th son John was born in 1803. Joseph’s occupation at that time was given as innkeeper.
Ann, aged 71, was buried on February 24th, 1832 at All Saints, Northallerton.
Joseph, aged 71, was buried on May 20th, 1841 at Northallerton.
