Annie Walford Freeth was the fourth child of Samuel Freeth & Jane Walford born October 22nd, 1870 at Smethwick, Staffs.
In 1871 Annie was living with her parents & 3 sisters at Jockey St, Smethwick.
The family were still at Jockey St in 1881.
In 1891 the family had moved to 9 Chatwin St, Smethwick & Annie was now a milliner’s assistant.
Annie was still living at home, 9 Chatwin St, in 1901 & was described as a draper’s assistant.
Annie married John Round on December 20th, 1901 at Holy Trinity, Smethwick. John was born August 23rd, 1867 at West Bromwich, the son of Betsy Tonks & Henry James Round, a nut & bolt maker.
In 1911 Annie & John were living near Annie’s mother at 8 Chatwin St, Smethwick. John was an insurance agent & they had 2 children by this time – Annie Dorothy (8) & Constance Miriam (5).
The 1939 register shows Annie & John still living at Chatwin St, now number 9. John was now a retired insurance broker. With them was daughter Annie, a shop assistant in the mantle department. Daughter Constance had married Leslie Spicer, a plumber, in 1930 & they were living at 56 Talbot Rd, Smethwick in 1939.
John died September 5th, 1940 at Smethwick & was buried September 10th at Smethwick.
In 1941 daughter Annie married Alfred W Geen at Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Annie died in 1951 & was buried October 30th, 1951 at Copner, Portsmouth, Hampshire.
