Josiah Freeth was the seventh child of Edward Freeth & Sarah Gray (Granger) christened October 28th, 1744 at All Saints, West Bromwich.
Josiah, of the parish of Harborne, married Sarah Downing on June 9th, 1766 at Halesowen, Worcestershire.
Like his brother, Samuel, Josiah appears to have followed the Presbyterian faith & had his children christened in the Oldbury Presbyterian Chapel.
Josiah & Sarah lived in West Bromwich as evidenced by a note in the christening of son Thomas in 1785. Thomas was christened at the Oldbury Old Dissenting Chapel, as was his sister Rachael, but the note states that they were of the parish of West Bromwich.
