Hannah Pallister was the fourth child of Peter Pallister & Catherine Gerry born January 21st, 1830 at Wrekenton & christened February 14th, 1830 at Gateshead Fell, Co Durham.
In 1841 Hannah was living at home with her parents & brothers & sisters at Gateshead, Co Durham .
Hannah was still living at home in 1851, at Wrekenton, Gateshead .
Hannah married George Forster on May 3rd, 1857 at Gateshead Fell. George was born c1834 at Washington, Co Durham.
In 1871 George & Hannah (Farster on Ancestry.co.uk index) were living at Washington where George was an agricultural labourer. They had 3 children – William (13), Joseph (9) & George (1).
George died prior to the 1881 census when widowed Hannah was living with her 3 sons at the White House, Washington. William & Joseph were both agricultural labourers.
In 1891 Hannah was living at 3 Biddick Farm, Harraton, Co Durham with son George, a farm labourer. Son Joseph, also a farm labourer, was living at 2 Biddick Farm & was now married to Isabella & they had a 10 month old son, Joseph H. Son William (now a horse keeper and married to Elizabeth Corbett since 1881) was living at Waggon Row, Great Usworth, Chester-le-Street and they had 5 children by this time.
Hannah, aged 69, died at Harraton Colliery & was buried on July 25th, 1899 at St Thomas, Eighton Banks, Co Durham.
Son William, wife Elizabeth & family were living at 94 New Row, Usworth in 1901 & William was now a colliery farm manager. Son Joseph, wife Isabella & family were living at 2 Esther Terrace, Washington & Joseph was a general cartman.
