Edward Wall was christened April 10th, 1785 at Allesley, Warwickshire, the son of Sarah & Thomas Wall.

Edward married Mary Garner on October 13th, 1806 at Edgbaston, Warwick, Mary being unable to sign, made her mark.

Mary Garner was born January 1st, 1782 at Edgbaston & christened at Berkswell, Warks. Mary was the daughter of Thomas Garner & Mary Cudd of Meriden, Warks.

Mary died on August 14th, 1845, aged 63, at French Walls, Smethwick.  Edward was noted as a shopkeeper on her death certificate.

The children of Edward Wall & Mary Garner were:

w.1. Thomas Wall born September 27th, 1807, christened October 18th, 1807 at St Philips, Birmingham, died Jan-March 1872 at West Bromwich
w.2. William Wall christened February 5th, 1810 at St Philips, Birmingham, died November 23rd, 1825 at Smethwick
w.3. Hannah Wall christened March 29th, 1812 at Smethwick, Staffs
w.4. Mary Wall christened July 24th, 1814 at Smethwick, Staffs
w.5. Eliza Wall christened July 7th, 1816 at Smethwick, Staffs

w.6. Ann Wall born March 1819 at Smethwick, buried March 28th, 1819 at Smethwick

w.7. Jane Wall born March 1819 at Smethwick, buried March 14th, 1819 at Smethwick
w.8. Edward Wall christened November 12th, 1820 at Smethwick, Staffs, died May 4th, 1871 at West Bromwich
w.9. Joseph Wall christened March 2nd, 1823 at Smethwick, Staffs; died June 27th, 1908 at West Bromwich Union Workhouse

Edward remarried on May 5th, 1846 at St Peter & St Paul, Aston, Birmingham, Warks.  His second wife was Charlotte Blunt who was the widow of George Blunt, a provisioner,  who had died late in 1841.  Charlotte was born Charlotte Edge & christened April 25th, 1791 at Market Drayton, Shropshire, the daughter of Thomas Edge. Edward signed the marriage register & Charlotte made her mark.

In 1851 Edward & Charlotte were living at 2 Club Building, Brass House Lane, Smethwick, Staffs & Edward was described as a grocer.

Edward died in July-September 1855, his death being registered at Kings Norton.

Widowed Charlotte was still living at Brass House Lane, Harborne, Smethwick in 1861 & was described as a dealer in groceries.  With Charlotte was a granddaughter, Clara Foster (15) & a general servant & a boarder.

Charlotte died in Oct-December 1867, aged 77, her death being registered at Kings Norton.
