Charlotte Winder was the fourth child of Edmund Winder & Elizabeth Style born April 5th, 1790 at Burnham, christened May 13th, 1790 at St Peter's Burnham.
Charlotte appears not to have married. In 1841 she was living with Amelia Figg, a schoolmistress, at High St, Burnham. Charlotte (noted as Wender in Ancestry.co.uk) was described as ‘independent’.
At the time of the 1851 census she was still living with Amelia Figg, a 67 year old widow, at High St, Burnham. Both were described as annuitants.
In 1861 Charlotte (70), with her sister Anna Bathsheba (65) were living at Church Row, Burnham. The head of the household was sister-in-law Sarah Ewington (71) nee Rowls who had a 12 year old grandson, Edmund, visiting her. It was noted that Charlotte was deaf.
Charlotte died on November 6th, 1862 & was buried on November 12th at Burnham. Her will was proved on February 19th, 1863 by Maria Stevens of Sunninghill, Berks who was Charlotte’s sister, now widowed. Charlotte’s effects were resworn in April 1863 as under £4,000.
