In 1861 Jane (77) was living alone at & the census notes that she was ‘retired through age’, & now living at Egglescliffe village.

Jane was living with son Joseph & his family at the time of the 1871 census at Low Stone Cottage, Low Worsall, Yorks & was an annuitant. Joseph was an agricultural labourer, married to Jane Carter & they had 2 children at home – Joseph & George.
